Remember this phrase: Get Paid, Get Laid, Lose Weight because those are the three things people will pay for. - via GetNugget.co

So, if a company is buying lots of smaller companies, they need a vision that explains why bigger is better.

Teaching how to think is better than lecturing how to do it.

The facets that resonate with time, even if it?s hundreds of years old, will resonate with your work as well. It?s like a law of the universe.

The only way to make real wealth is to get rid of your salary. In a salary, by definition, you are creating wealth for others, and you are creating a chain and handcuffs for yourself.

There?s always a gap between what I have now and what I would like. And that gap is all of your excuses. All it takes to close the gap is to be creative and work your way through the excuses. I repeat: this is all it takes.

Time it takes to reinvent yourself: five years. Here?s a description of the five years: Year One: You?re flailing and reading everything and just starting to do. Year Two: You know who you need to talk to and network with. You?re doing every day. You finally know what the Monopoly board looks like in your new endeavors. Year Three: You?re good enough to start making money. It might not be a living yet. Year Four: You?re making a good living, and you can quit your day job. Year Five: You?re making wealth. Sometimes you get frustrated in years one through four. You say, Why isn?t it happening yet? That?s okay. Just keep going. Or stop and pick a new field.

We live in a world where the yellow brick road has many forks and can take us on many incredible journeys.

When you don?t choose, you excuse.

You are the alchemist of your life.

You no longer have to wait for the gods of corporate America, or universities, or media, or investors, to come down from the clouds and choose you for success. In every single industry, the middleman is being taken out of the picture, causing more disruption in employment but also greater efficiencies and more opportunities for unique ideas to generate real wealth. You can develop those ideas, execute on them, and choose yourself for success.

I don?t blame them. I never blame anyone but myself. Every second I am manipulated and coerced and beaten down it?s because I?ve allowed it.

I was too demoralized to stop it or to start anything new. I would lie around, unable to get myself back up and start generating new ideas.

If coming up with ten ideas sounds too hard, then come up with twenty.

If you have a story to tell or a service to offer (it doesn?t matter what), love yourself enough to choose yourself. Take control of your work, your life, your art. The tools are out there. Now you just need to use the tools inside yourself.

In the 1890?s horses, carrying people to work, dropped 4.5 million tons of manure on the streets of Manhattan, every year. That was the big environmental problem of the day. ?NYC will be buried in horse manure by 1950!? screamed the headlines. It doesn?t matter what your opinion about this was. None of the people living in NY solved the problem despite the 1000s of opinions. People with passion for mechanics in Detroit made something called a car. Problem solved.

Just being an entrepreneur, without having multiple sources of income, without first taking care of the risks, is suicide.

Most people think they need to say thank you to the world. But the world is constantly saying thank you to you for being alive, for creating new things, new energies, new experiences. Every day give the world at least one more reason to whisper thank you to you. If you can hear that whisper, everything else, every gift in life, becomes expected. You earned it. Just take it.

Nothing you ever thought of before amounted to anything ? that?s why you are exactly where you are at that moment of hitting bottom.

People perceive you as stupid when you do this. Just keep quiet when someone is talking.

Remember to always tune your inner ear so you can listen for (and separate from each other) both the good reason and the real reason when anyone (including yourself) gives you an excuse.

Society is made up of individuals. The only way to improve society is to come at it from a place of deep, individual satisfaction. The only way to do that is to spend long periods of time just being silent. Find out who the real you is. Ask yourself, ?These thoughts that I am thinking, what is generating them?? They are not your thoughts. That is just the biological brain dancing in front of you. Who is the you they are dancing in front of? Find that answer, and then you can save the world.

Technology, outsourcing, a growing temp staffing industry, productivity efficiencies?these have all replaced the middle class.

The idea muscle must be exercised every day. Even if you?ve come up with ideas every day of your life, it will atrophy if you give it a two-week rest.

The problem is: income inequality is getting greater. There is no denying that. But this is not a distinction between Owner / Employee. This is a distinction between those with the Rich Employee mindset versus those with the Poor Employee mindset.
