Author Quotes

Through my weightlifting I wish to tell the outer world that the world of spirit does exist… It proves that the inner spirit, or the mental and psychic power, can be of great assistance to the body when it is brought to the fore. Otherwise my physical body would never be able to lift this kind of weight. It is my prayer-life and meditation-life that, through God’s Grace, are enabling me to do this. I am also trying to show that the inner world has to be a source of inspiration to the outer world. They should not be like opposite poles—North Pole and South Pole. No, they have to be united. The body and the soul must go together.

True success is the only thing that you cannot have unless and until you have offered it to others.

What gives life its value if not its constant cry for self-transcendence?

Each human being can at once be a fighter and forgiver. When self-doubt tortures him, he most play the role of a fighter. And when his own ignorance humiliates him, he must play the role of a forgiver.

Fear is a real enemy. What does it do? It buys our coffin long before we are destined to die.

God’s foremost treasure on earth is my ever-blossoming Gratitude-heart.

Hope is Eternity's slow, steady, Illumining and fulfillling height.

I begin by imagining the impossible and end by accomplishing the impossible.

I shall love the whole world, but I shall control only myself.

If we feel secure in the depths of our heart, we shall not challenge anybody, for inner confidence is nothing short of complete satisfaction.

Ignorance is an enemy, even to its owner. Knowledge is a friend, even to its hater. Ignorance hates knowledge because it is too pure. Knowledge fears ignorance because it is too sure.

It is music that, being the universal language, has no need to learn any particular language of the world.

Love is a thing only to become and eternally be.

Meditation and music cannot be separated. When we cry from the inmost recesses of our heart for peace, light and bliss, that is the best type of meditation. Next to meditation is music, soulful music, the music that stirs and elevates our aspiring consciousness. We cannot meditate twenty-four hours a day, but we can meditate, perhaps, for two hours a day. At other times we can play music or listen to music. When we play or hear soulful music, psychic music, immediately we are transported to a higher realm of consciousness. When we play music soulfully, we go high, higher, highest.

Music is inspiration, soulful inspiration. It inspires the human in us. Music is manifestation, fruitful manifestation. It manifests the divine in us. Music is satisfaction, supreme satisfaction. It satisfies the Pilot Supreme in us.

My meditation is my soul's most beautiful and most powerful God-manifestation-dream On earth… My meditation Is my heart's God-Perfection-Satisfaction-song… My meditation-silence expedites my God-Peace-home return journey.

Not one but twenty-four self-giving-hours every day I have for my use.

One can talk for hours on peace. The curious mind may get some satisfaction, but the crying heart cannot get any help from talks. The crying heart is the real reality within us, and that crying heart gets inner peace, everlasting peace, only through prayerful silence and soulful meditation. Only prayerful meditation and soulful prayer can bring about peace. If at every moment we can think that we are growing into a prayerful meditation and a soulful prayer, than peace eternal will be ours.

Peace is not in self-assertive foolhardiness.

Right now fear, doubt, anxiety, tension and disharmony are reigning supreme. But there shall come a time when this world of ours will be flooded with peace. Who is going to bring about this radical change? It will be you: you and your sisters and brothers. You and your oneness-heart will spread peace throughout the length and breadth of the world.

So if you want to love your neighbor, or your wife, husband or child then you have to love God first. God is the Source. If you don’t go to the Source, who is all Love then it will just be words when you say, I love you, I love you. There is no way for any human being to establish real love except by becoming one with God’s Love.

The easiest way to conquer ego is to offer gratitude to God for five minutes daily. Then you will feel that inside you a sweet, fragrant and beautiful flower is growing. That is the flower of humility. When you offer Him your gratitude, God gives you something most beautiful, which is humility. Once it has seen the flower of humility, the ego goes away because it feels that it can become something better: universal oneness.

The reason I have entered into bodybuilding and weightlifting is to inspire everybody to pray and meditate so they can bring to the fore their own inner strength. If everybody brings to the fore his own inner strength, the world will eventually be inundated with peace.

There comes a time in the seeker's life when he discovers that he is at once the lover and the beloved. The aspiring soul which he embodies is the lover in him. And the transcendental Self which he reveals from within is his Beloved.

To be true to oneself is the hardest test of life.
